Baby and Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties and Events

Thank you for your interest in the Mathis House Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room.  Our showers, birthday parties and events specialize in a full Victorian five course Afternoon Tea that includes a choice of soup, a seasonal salad, a warm scone with clotted cream, lemon curd and preserves, a variety of tea sandwiches and a plate of petite sized deserts with a full pot of gourmet tea per person.  Events planned on the weekend, include live piano music and a complimentary glass of champagne.  

The tea house has five beautifully decorated dining rooms that will accommodate up to 60 guests for the use of the entire Inn.  For smaller groups, the rooms vary in size and room assignments are based on the size of the group.

Events are booked with a two-hour seating time at 11 am or 3 pm.  An extra hour may be booked for the additional cost of $500 an hour.  The Victorian Afternoon Teatime for events is $50 per person, $20 for children 12 and under, and complimentary for children 5 and under with an adult.  The deposit to secure the venue is $1000.00 and applied toward the balance of the event three weeks prior to the final headcount.  If a party is less than 30 people, payment in full is due at the day of the booking.

The beautiful Victorian Afternoon Tea is served on fine china on a three tiered presentation that your guests will enjoy.  We can work with you to plan opening gifts, specialized decorating, and dietary needs that may arise for your guest list.  

When booking a large party of 30 guests or more, a complimentary overnight stay voucher for future use is included with the booking.  The Mathis House encourages that you take advantage of a complimentary teatime for two and scheduling a tour with a consultation with the owner or our Event Manager.

If you seek to host a fundraiser at the Mathis House, the same offering is at the price of $30 per person, and your non profit will receive $20 of the total of $50 per person.  

The Mathis House also offers dinners, specialized catered menu options that may include a buffet, breakfast items or any other option to meet your needs based on a consultation and seasonal availability.
There is an handicapped elevator into the building with ample parking located directly behind the Bed & Breakfast.
